cute overload

This year is the first Halloween in my life that I haven't dressed up at all. The thought is a little bit depressing. I just didn't have the time and/or inclincation to go to parties this year.

However, it was made less depressing by the fact that I got to go trick-or-treating with the Gosses on Saturday. Maddie was dressed as Holly Hobby and looked adorable. And, she now says "Peedy!" In that several times she reached out to me and said "Peedy!" Seriously, it was probably the cutest thing ever. It knocked at the tin can where my heart should be.

After spending an exhausting, cold and slightly expensive (but very fun!) day at the Aurora outlet mall with the girls (I go the CUTEST dress and shoes!), I came back to the city for my Saturday night date.

i can't really be depressed when there's such a cute picture out there of Lori and Dave's darling Maddie, wearing a hat I made for her.

Apparently, I knitted it HUGE. I have no concept of the size of baby heads, since I knitted this before she was even born. But hey, it fits now!
